Infiniti Releases Pictures of The EMERG-E Concept in Advance of The Geneva Autoshow
In a brief statement accompanying that pre-show teaser image, Infiniti described the Emerg-E as an "electric car," but then hinted it would be a hybrid, saying the Emerg-E will be the first Infiniti to have a "range-extender drivetrain." Further, it said the powertrain combination — presumably an electric motor with a gasoline engine — will be "mounted in a mid-ship package for optimal handling."

A Really Good Idea.
The Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) on the new 2012 QX56 measures individual tire pressure and features a display which shows this information for each tire. If one or more of the tires are under-inflated, a low tire pressure warning light will illuminate.
Built into the Tire Pressure Monitoring System is a Tire Inflation Indicator. When inflating the tire and the correct air pressure is reached, the turn signals will flash and the horn will sound to alert you to stop adding air.
Harte Infiniti reminds you to frequently check for proper tire inflation to conserve fuel and maximize the life of your tires.

The Truth About Bluetooth.
Bluetooth® wireless technology is available on all Infiniti vehicles, but there are some subtle differences to keep in mind.
The Bluetooth® Hands-free Phone System gives drivers a simple and convenient way to make and receive hands-free phone calls. But controls and capabilities vary depending upon whether a vehicle is equipped with a factory-installed navigation system.
Control buttons differ on vehicles with navigation (left)
and those without (right)
A key difference is the steering-wheel-mounted controls. Vehicles with navigation have:
The basic procedures for pairing a phone or accessing the phone book are similar for either system, but the details of the process from beginning to end — and the functions of the buttons — are different.
New owners should take the time to consult their owner’s manual and follow the Bluetooth® operating steps for their particular vehicle until they become familiar with the system.
Another difference to keep in mind is that vehicles equipped with a navigation system also have streaming audio capability. Compatible Bluetooth®-enabled devices, including mobile phones or digital music players, can be connected to the Bluetooth® system for wireless audio streaming of music files.
The process for pairing music players is slightly different from the process for pairing phones, so refer to the vehicle’s owner’s manual for directions.
